Janet’s Story: “That team effort makes you feel like you’re really being taken care of. You were just not a number.”
Janet, a resident of Westport, CT, is a survivor of many cancers. She went to Norwalk Hospital’s Whittingham Cancer Center for her treatments. The team effort, made up of doctors, nurses, technicians and staff, supported her through her journey and reassured her that she was going to get through this event in her life.

Bonni’s Story: “I felt like I was on a boat and someone was steering the boat, otherwise I was lost.”
In April 2015, Bonni was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a resident of Sherman, CT, she reached out to Cindy Tyler at New Milford Hospital Diebold Family Cancer Center.

Jodilynn is a 9 year survivor with stage-4 metastatic breast cancer. After visiting several big name hospitals, Jodilynn chose to get treatment at Danbury Hospital because of the care and education she received, which helped to remove the fear from cancer.
When the cancer metastasized to her liver, Jodilynn was not alone, accompanied and cared for by her team at Danbury Hospital Praixair Cancer Center.
Donna’s Story: “Just the amount of time [Dr. Winter] spent with me was so reassuring.”
After a recommendation for her primary care doctor, Donna got a low-dose CAT scan screening for lung cancer given her age and smoking history. When the results showed something that needed investigation, Donna went to Norwalk Hospital.
After discussing her options with her healthcare team, Donna had robotic surgery and was well on her way to recovery supported by her friends and family at Norwalk Hospital. Donna was able to go back to singing, tennis, and resume her life.
