New Milford Hospital Announces Spring Series of Strong Women™ Strong Bones!

NEW MILFORD, Connecticut – April 8, 2016 – New Milford Hospital will host the spring series of Strong Women™ Strong Bones (SWSB) fitness programs at three community locations. Each session affords seven weeks (2 classes per week) of exercise with certified instructors. The SWSB fitness program is targeted to middle-aged and older women to increase strength, balance and flexibility, and is appropriate for both sedentary and active women.

Strong Women™ Strong Bones is a nationally recognized fitness program designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis/osteopenia and promote general health and wellness. Health and wellness benefits include arthritis relief, restoration of balance and flexibility, strengthening of bones, proper weight maintenance, and improved glucose control and heart health.

The next series of Strong Women™ Strong Bones classes take place on the following dates and locations:

Location: New Milford
New Milford Hospital Campus
30 Elm Street, New Milford, CT
Monday, Wednesday, Friday/10-11:15 a.m.
Dates: May 2 to June 17 (choice of two days)
Tuesday & Thursday/4:45-6 p.m.
Dates: May 3 to June 14
Cost: $85 twice a week

Location: Kent

Saint Andrew’s Episcopal
1 North Main Street, Kent, CT
Tuesday & Thursday/10-11:15 a.m.
Dates: May 3 to June 16
Cost: $85 twice a week

Location: Litchfield
Tavern Off the Green Restaurant/The Litchfield Inn
432 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT
Monday & Wednesday/10:30-11:45 a.m.
Dates: April 11 to May 25
Cost: $85 twice a week
