Western Connecticut Health Network
NEW MILFORD, Connecticut - September 14, 2016 - Millions of Americans have become victims of identity theft, investment fraud and other types of scams, according to the AARP Fraud Watch Network. Fortunately, there are tactics you can learn to protect yourself from scams. Byron Peterson, an AARP CT Volunteer and Executive Council Member, will elaborate on this as the featured speaker for the next program in the New Milford Hospital Community Speaker Series.

He will provide an informative and interactive presentation on Thursday, September 29, at 6:00 pm in the hospital's cafe. Community members are invited to attend this free AARP Fraud Watch Network presentation. Mr. Peterson will help people learn about the techniques used by con artists in order to avoid becoming a victim.

The community lecture series is presented in coordination with New Milford Hospital's Plow to Plate Senior Supper Program promoting healthy eating.
