Dr. Majid Sadigh to Present a Talk About the Zika Virus at Fairfield Woods Branch Library

DANBURY, Connecticut – August 10, 2016 – Majid Sadigh, MD, director of the Global Health Program at Western Connecticut Health Network/University of Vermont College of Medicine, will discuss the Zika virus on Monday, August 29th at 6:30 pm at Fairfield Woods Branch Library.  The library is located at 1147 Fairfield Woods Road in Fairfield.

According the Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Zika virus spreads primarily through the bite of an infected mosquito, and there have been 39 travel-associated cases of the Zika virus in Connecticut. The public is invited to attend this free lecture to learn more about this virus - including prevention, symptoms and treatment.
