Better Burgers
It’s summertime, and the grilling is easier. Expand your burger repertoire (and improve the nutrition of your meal!) by opting for some alternative ingredients.
For a lower calorie yet equally delicious option, try these All-American Turkey Burgers the next time you fire up the grill.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ⅛ tsp. pepper
- 4 Kaiser Rolls, split
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 slices onion
Directions
1. Preheat grill. In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, garlic, ketchup, and pepper. Evenly divide mixture and shape into four burgers about 3 ½ inches in diameter.
2. Grill burgers five to six minutes per side until they’re no longer pink in the center (165 degrees checked with a food thermometer).
3. To serve, place each burger on the bottom half of a roll and layer with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the top half of a roll.
